Fall Production November 21-24 2024

Long ago, in a land far away, there was a vain and selfish king who was “exposed” and almost lost his kingdom. What will it take for everyone to see the light?

This fall, audiences will delight in TNIM’s production of the “King’s New Clothes” written by Peter Bond and Bob Heather. Director Bronwen McKnight brings to life this adaptation of the classic folktale that looks at the pitfalls of conformity and the importance of speaking your truth. She also believes in the importance of wearing actual pants… just so you know.

This classic pantomime offers colorful sets, an array of zany characters who perform musical numbers set to live music, and lots of family-friendly humour. The audience is actively encouraged to participate by calling out clues, jeering at the villain, and encouraging the heroes. Adults and children alike will be drawn into this story, and likely to be re-enacting the scenes for days afterwards.

Come join us for this spectacular interactive show at the Community Center located at 106 Read Street in Merrickville. Evening performances run on Thursday and Friday (November 21 and 22) at 7:30 PM. Afternoon performances are on Saturday and Sunday (November 23 and 24) at 2:00 PM.
